As a successful Barrister in Criminal practice over the last 20 years I used to smoke 40 a day: in the vigorously held belief it helped me stay calm helped me deal with the stress of the day job. NO ONE was going to take away my cigarettes; they were all I had to keep me going…..
I was lucky enough to attend a course which changed the way I thought about cigarettes leaving me never wanting another: The power of thoughts became more apparent to me as I applied the ideas to my life and I watched various aspect of my life get better and better because I changed the way I thought….
And since then ….
I have had the privilege of training under Dr Steven Palmer , Michael Neenan and many others at the Centre for stress management where they teach the art of change through the medium of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Rational Emotive Behavioural therapy.
